Rules
The following rules will apply for this season
Teams:
- 5 registered persons per team BUT only 4 players to play on any given night.
Team Names:
- Each team will be "named" and numbered.
Start Time:
7:30pm SHARP. ARRIVE 10 MINUTES PRIOR.
Nights of Play:
- Monday or Tuesday [pending HOME or AWAY Side] - All games are played at Fitzpatricks
Player Ranking Order:
- Each player is given a ranking and must play in that position. Position 1 will be played by the person with the highest RANKING number for their team, posiion two the second highest no and so on & so on through to position 5.
- The ranking number will be 'fluid' and can change on players performance. So it's important to visit the Fitzy's website to view Player Performances and ascertain the playing order before each round.
Recommended Sequence of Play:
- The Fixture will show a recommended order of play on The night. This is ONLY recommended to permit player rotation however common sense prevails to ensure players take to the court at 7:30 sharp.
Fees:
- Club Fees remain the same. Venue Operator receives $15/player on the night.
- Even when a player gives a walkover then the offending team will need to reimburse the Venue Operator $30 covering their & the opponents match.
Results/Draw/Performances:
- Fitzy's Club will arrange Fixture/Ladder/Player Performances on the webside. Website Link is: https://www.squashvictoria.com.au
Referees/Markers - Home & Away Season
- 4th player to ref/score 3rd player
- 3rd player to ref/score 2nd player
- 2nd player to ref/score 1st player
- 1st player to ref/score 4th player
- OTHERWISE - Each team can determine referee and scorer*
Referees/Markers - Finals (in a Top 4 Scenario)
- 5th position team to referee & mark the Grand Final:
- 6th position team to referee & mark the Preliminary Final:
- 7th & 8th position teams to referee & mark both Semi Finals:
Scoring:
- PAR15 - For ALL Players - at 14 all the receiver to call either 15 (Short) or 17 (Long)
- A point is allocated to each game won & the winning team based upon highest games tally. The winning team will be allocate a bonus 2 points on the night.
- Player no show, then 3 points awarded to the offended team
Supper:
No supper obligation but home player expectation to offer a drink to your opponent
Balls:
- The recommended ball for level 1,2 & 3 is the Double Yellow Dot ball
- The recommended ball for level 4 is the Single Yellow Dot ball
** NOTE: If both players in level 4 agree the Double Yellow Dot ball may be used**
